Exam Accommodations

Overview

Some students with a current IEP, 504 Plan, or General Education plan may qualify for accommodations on AP exams (for example: extended time, extra breaks, or a separate room).

Important: Accommodations are not automatic. Even if you use them in class at RHS, you must be approved by the College Board’s Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) program to use them on AP exams.

How to Apply

To request accommodations for College Board standardized tests, families need to apply directly through the College Board’s SSD program.

  • The school and district cannot submit requests for you.

  • The process can take up to 7 weeks, so it’s important to start early.

  • Detailed instructions, forms, and documentation requirements are available on the district website.

Deadline for May 2026 AP Exams: Friday, January 16, 2026
